Bear with us for a while, this site is still finding its feet and form but I’m sure that we will knock it into shape in no time at all.

So, what’s it all about? Well, essentially it is the product of two long term music geeks, one who was buried too deep in his own musical creations, the other who was spreading himself too thin whilst promoting others.

Alt Babylon, (cool name huh?) is an answer to both their dilemmas and aims to be a site from which to talk about, promote and discuss the more discerning end of the music market. The by-line “between pop and a hard place” intends to create a mental border between the mainstream and the overly aggressive, a place where rock, indie, post-punk, prog, ambient, dream-pop, shoe gaze, the cinematic and the avant-garde are all celebrated.
